Chocolate Hearts and everything nice. Yes, it’s that time again. Just when we thought we were doing great at losing some weight. Here comes Valentine’s Day, unless you’re not much for sweets. Now is the time to go all out and spend money on flowers and hearts full of an assortment of chocolates. Umm. Sounds good.
Every year I give my wife a bouquet of flowers and some chocolates. This year looks like I might have to make a change and maybe save some money. My wife has given up eating sweets for now. She’s trying to loose some weight. Must be that nice dress she was trying to get into a while ago.
Chocolate Hearts / Valentine’s Day
Chocolate Hearts / Valentine’s Day. We celebrate once a year to show our love to our girl friends or wives. But that’s just once a year. What about the rest of the year. Does that mean we show our love only once. Actually, I think we should celebrate Valentine’s Day every day of the year. Just like we exercise our Christmas gift giving throughout the year, right? You mean you don’t practice being charitable throughout the year. Well, we should and we should also show our love to our loved ones all year round. I know for sure the candy and flower companies would love that.
Food For Thought
Yes, this is that special time. But do we do it out of habit or do we really get the full meaning of why we are doing this. Food for thought. I kind of think it’s because we care and truly love when we give. Because it comes from the heart. The best way to show this is when you say it with flowers and of course chocolate candy doesn’t hurt, not now anyway.
As the day approaches and on that special day, be that special someone and show that you care. Who loves you Baby? You do!!! Yes love is in the air, to coin a phrase. The time has come to reach out and grab it. I truly believe, if you didn’t care, you wouldn’t bother. So show your love by acting now. Every one yearns to be hugged and loved. Every one deserves to be hugged and loved. Now is your chance.
Be that special someone in his or her life. Make them feel special. And while you are at it plan a special evening for the two of you with a dinner and some Fine Wine of Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir to pair with what you are eating. Fine wine pairing can make any meal into an Event. It complements many foods, leaving a lasting memory. When was the last time you had a truly fine wine? Do you remember? Something remarkable and magical happens when you add Wine to the menu. I guarantee it will be worth it. It will put that finishing touch to the evening. Enjoy!!!
Valentines Day – Thanks For The Memories
Valentines Day – Thanks for the Memories. Every time I read these words, memories pop up in my mind of times past. Seems like only yesterday my wife and I tied the knot in 1971 and all of a sudden, like a flash it’s 2021, fifty years later. Like being in a twilight zone. Bob Hope used to say these words when he would close a show and again in his final performance. He was a great performer. Yes, Thanks For The Memories Bob. They will always be treasured.
My Four Valentines
When I was attending college, I dreamed of being surrounded by women. Little did I know what the Lord had in mind for me. My wife and three daughters surrounded me all these years. Watching my children, grow up. Seems like yesterday. Where did all the days and years go by. Now, they are adults and have families of their own. Thank goodness I don’t have to give everyone something. Their husbands can do that. I still do though. The cycle begins again. Another generation and here come the grand kids and great grand kids.
Times To Remember
Wow!!! These are the times I remember mostly. Times of love, of caring and showing our love. Which we show throughout the year. Of course, but don’t let a Valentines’s Day go by without giving flowers and candy to a loved one. Unless you want to sleep in the dog house for an extended length of time. Show them that you care.
With me, Valentines Day was and is the one day of the year I express or show how I feel toward a love one. Me, I’ve always given my wife a dozen roses and a big heart with lots of chocolates. I like them too. I end up eating most of them. Remember, it’s the thought that counts. Especially for me.
So don’t forget what’s coming up next. It’s what? VALENTINES DAY!!! That someone special will appreciate the gesture and may reward you throughout the year. You can also enjoy a nice cup of Ricord Merlot Fine Wine with your dark chocolates. Ummm!!! Delicious!!! It doesn’t get any better! Welllll!!!
