And how fast or how badly do you want to lose it? Losing weight, I have found is like a state of mind. I would say about 80% mental and 20% dieting and some exercise, like walking every day, at least a mile a day helps. You really have to want to lose the weight mentally. If you are not willing to do the math mentally, as the saying goes, it’s not going to happen. Yes, you might lose some weight with pills or cutting down on some things. You’ll lose some and then you will gain some, like a yoyo, never really getting anywhere. That was my problem. The hardest part is the first 2 to 3 weeks, getting started. After that, no problem as long as you stick to the diet.

On Losing Weight!!! If you really want to, deep inside, you can do it. I know it is possible because I have done it. I lost 100 pounds about 10 years ago. The only problem is keeping it off once you have reached your goal. You can no longer go back to the way you were eating before. All your eating habits have to change. I know because when I stopped the diet I went back to everything I liked and the weight came back fast. Believe me, it’s much easier to gain then to lose. Men can actually lose from 5 to 7 pounds per week and women 3 or 4. For some reason, I can’t explain, men lose weight faster then women. So what do you do? How do you go about it. On Losing Weight!!! Like I said, you have to really want to lose the weight and stick to what you have to do. The first thing to do is give up all eating anything sugars and salt. Sugar is the main culprit and salt makes your body retain water. Yes, you have to be drinking lots of water and you will have to make many trips to relieve yourself. Like I said sugar is the main thing you have to let go. That means not eating anything that contain glucose, sugar, like some of your vegetables. You can’t have any potatoes, carrots, peas, or corn. No fruit, sugars remember. Onions you can eat raw in salads but not cooked. When you cook them they caramelized and release sugars. No bread, tortillas, flour or corn, starches and no cheese or milk products, just water.

On Losing Weight!!! Well if that’s the case, you say, what’s left? The only thing you can eat are greens like lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, zucchini and such. Like I said, no starches like rice, or macaroni. For protein you can eat a 5 oz. piece of meat, fish or chicken grilled or lightly sauteed with very little olive oil and 2 cups of salad for lunch. For supper the same but substitute 2 cups of vegetables for the salad. Around 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. a small bowl of sugarless jello and lots of water throughout the day. No more bacon and eggs with toast for breakfast. Boiled eggs are good, but no salt. Once a week, for supper you can have a good meal of what ever you like, just don’t over do it. Make sure to take a calcium, potassium and magnesium pill daily and make sure you check with your family doctor, so they can be monitoring your blood pressure and such weekly. Very Important!!! This is a very hard diet, but it works!!!

Well, there it is in a nut shell. Losing is very hard to do. In the evenings now, cause I just started this diet again, I take Zlem. You take it 30 minutes before going to bed every night for 25 days and then you are off for 5days, but you stay on the diet throughout.
